2. The 'Acknowledgements' on page (ii) of the India Country Study Final Report (November 2000) relate to the contribution by Nirmal Sengupta and not the group as a whole.

3. The annexes 1-6 were produced as inputs to individual elements of the report and not to the report as a whole. The list of authors given on the annex title page should be deleted. The authors of annexes 1-6 are shown below their titles and given below for clarification.

4. The comments from various sources on the India Country Study appearing in Annex 7 were included for transparency and reflected a commitment on the part of the Commission to be open. The practice was common to all WCD case studies and thematic reviews.

5. The final edition of the report prepared by the authors was dated June 2000. Subsequently, the report was edited and formatted by the WCD Secretariat and the comments received on the report (Annex 7) added in compliance with standard practice for all case studies and thematic reviews. These changes were incorporated in the November 2000 edition. No substantive changes to the main text were made between these editions.
