WCD Wins IAIA Award

The International Association for Impact Assessment announced March 20 that it has selected WCD to receive the IAIA Institutional Award.

The award is "for (WCD's) contribution to the policy debate about the environmental and social impacts of large infrastructure projects, and for urging that due consideration be given to incorporation of impact assessment in consideration of any project." IAIA consists of environmental decision-makers with 2,500 members from over 100 nations around the globe.

The award will be presented in a ceremony in Cartagena, Colombia.
